Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts, Woolly Embroidery: Crewelwork, Stumpwork, Canvas Work, and More! Wow! What a title. However, for ease of reading and writing, I'm calling it Woolly Embroidery.
This book was published by Chronicle Books and is a collection of cute designs that can be added to clothing and accessories using the various techniques mentioned above. These designs aren't too complicated and can be stitched by beginner and expert alike. All you need is a needle and some wool. The illustrations are quite good and helps to explain the 30 plus decorative stitches used in the book. There are full patterns for all the projects shown.
The motifs can be used as is or modified to suit a piece of original work. If you just want to make something simple but elegant, this book can work for you.
This book is in our embroidery guild library.
Looks like an interesting book .
