Get The Scoop

Today, my daughter, Jill, and I took a trek to Mahone Bay. Twelve of Jill's curated pieces are gracing the walls of Get The Scoop. This Ice cream shop has the best homemade ice cream in town and Jill's art work certainly livens up the place! There will be FREE ICE CREAM for everyone who buys a piece of her art. How sweet is that!

NEW to the shop is their Sweet Boutique - kitchen & cottage ware. They are also carrying the delectable Peace by Chocolate chocolates. AND of course, these delicious flavors of ice cream. The flavors change daily.

 Enjoy!

Sewing Things For Your Kitchen

Yesterday, my upright freezer decided to quit. We are having a turkey dinner tomorrow! I also made three large batches of jam last evening. Today, I made a lemon pie using my thawed out homemade pie crust. The repair guy is dropping by tomorrow to let us know the damage and the thing is only 6 years old. I remember my parents having one for at least 25 years. Times how they change.

So!! Spending so much time in the kitchen got me thinking of sewing projects appropriate for that corner of the home. Check out my list of links:
Here's a set of micro-mitts my friend made and gave me for Christmas a few years ago. The pattern came from 2012 Quilter's Connection Magazine.

Have fun and enjoy whatever you are doing!

Kitchen Art

I was looking at some awesome art pieces a few minutes ago. I can't wait to see them framed and hanging on a wall. I will post pictures at a later date. A couple of the pieces had a kitchen theme. That got me thinking of quilted art to make for your cooking/eating area. Some of the following is not for the wall but to use everyday. Have Fun!
