First Snow

I guess you are wondering about the title! It's spring - has she gone bonkers! Not so. As I've said before, I often get ideas from reading other artists' blogs and web sites. Well, this post is about the art of Susan Brubaker Knapp of Blue Moon River. I have some of her teaching videos and book, Point Click Quilt. Instead of explaining about her piece, First Snow, please visit her site and read all about it. She wasn't permitted to share it until now. It's just beautiful!

Susan is a regular contributor to Quilting Arts Magazine and Quilting Arts TV.

Little Treasures

The program at the Eastern Edge Quilt Guild on Tuesday evening was called 'Little Treasures' by Carol Fletcher. This project was published in issue 20 of the Quilting Arts Magazine, 2005.
The pattern was enlarged to make a casserole carrier as shown in the first photo. Several sizes of 'Little Treasures' were on display during the evening. Some of them were embellished with dimensional flowers.

For some reason, Internet Explorer doesn't like the posts I do in Fire Fox! It has added an extra large photo of one of the Little Treasures. The post is shown correctly in the Fire Fox version.

Free Patterns from Interweave

Just when I was wondering what to post today - Voila! I read an message from the Interweave Store which is associated with Quilting Arts Magazine. I have all the Quilting Arts magazines to date (subscription as I don't want to rely on the book store). Well, Interweave is offering some free patterns for you to download. There is something for everyone - well almost! For other free stuff from Quilting Arts, check here.
We are having our second day of sunshine - aren't we lucky. And it's 20C in my backyard at the moment.
