As promised, here is the finished "Wonky Houses" Advent Calendar wall hanging I made for my granddaughter who lives in Chicago. I waited until I got to Chicago to finish the piece with her. She had fun with all the buttons and then showed me where to sew them. We have a video of that so she can see us working on it when she's a big girl. One thing I forgot to do was put gold lame behind the candles on the tree. Guess it won't get done this year. Maybe sometime in the future but it really doesn't matter, she likes it as it is!
Enjoy!
I love the wonky houses! What a great memory to have with your grand daughter!
ReplyDeleteI love the advent calendar, Judy! It reminds me of little putz houses and the wonky look is so appealing!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy! Looks like I am receiving your posts again. The advent calendar is just wonderful. Enjoy the Trail.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great comments! We had fun and Gale will remember working on it with grandma.
ReplyDeleteI've been following along as you've worked on this project. Your finished work exceeded my expectations and I had high expectations. It's absolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous what a lovely thing to do with your granddaughter finishing it together. Can you share the pattern? I would love to make one too for my grandchildren.

Thanks for commenting on my Wonky House Advent Wall Hanging.
DeleteThe info you need is on the link below. I gave the pattern to my sister in Tennessee otherwise I’d be able to give you the address. However, if you google the pattern, you will probably find it. It is a Canadian pattern.
Good luck
Judy
