March of Mugs

I dropped down to the Quidi Vidi Plantation this afternoon to see the March of Mugs. It was a fantastic display of mugs, cup & saucers, vases, and small dishes. This event is hosted by local potter, Alexis Templeton.  

The March of Mugs features the work of fourteen ceramicists from Canada and the Untied States:

Mitten, Mitten, Whose Got The Mitten?

Yesterday, I went to a Mitten Knitting Completion and Exhibition, at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation. This completion was put together by Christine and Laurie Legrow of Spindrift. Please have a look at their website.

All the mittens were fantastic! Lots of creativity!

May Day Craft Weekend

Sunshine!!! I took the day off from working in my studio and went out. It turned out to be a wonderful, spring day. Let's hope May turns out to be a warm one as we sure deserve it after the last six months.

This weekend is the MAY DAY CRAFT WEEKEND in downtown St. John's.

Brrrrrr!

Yesterday at Quidi Vidi Village Plantation, I saw some ducks and pigeons enjoying a swim in the cold water. Brrrr! They didn't seem to mind the weather. As you can see, we still have lots of snow around.

March of Mugs

Today was cold but sunny. Just look at that sky! I went downtown this morning to the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation where the March of Mugs is been held this weekend. Curated by Alexis Templeton, this special gallery exhibition hosts functional and beautiful cups and mugs by exceptional and award-winning international potters and ceramic artists.
