We Remember . . .

A day to remember.
These poppies grew in my Newfoundland garden. They originally came from my mother's garden. Poppies and forget-me-nots were among the flowers she planted.

Her brother, Charlie Emberley, served in WWll and survived. These are for him and for all of those who fought to keep us free.

  1. Canadians also observe Remembrance Day? Guess it's a British Commonwealth thing. We even stopped for a minutes since during a quilt group meeting.

    1. Hi, Chris, Thanks for your comment. It is a commonwealth tradition to acknowledge those who served in the great wars. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_Day

  2. I love these poppies - one of my favourite flowers. My mother used to delight in filling her pockets with poppy seeds and then scattering them everywhere she went.
