A Look Back . . .

Since I'm not working on anything new at the moment, here is a piece of Hardanger that was done quite a few years ago. It was a challenge but well worth the effort. Not sure I would do another one like this.

Gold Work on silk.

Theodora (2007) stitched with single strands of silk. Some beading added. Original drawing.

Applique with hand embroidery and free-motion work. Original design

Enjoy!

A Few More Fibre Art Pendants

This week has been taken up with finishing the Christmas Shimmers, and packaging them. Four more new scarves have also been added to the list as well as lots of Christmas Wearable Art Pins. Last evening I did get started putting the finishing touches on more of the fibre art pendants. I have been adding a few stitches to some of the bases, using my new Valdani Silk and Perle Cotton Threads, . It's very subtle, so look closely at three of the ones below. Any pearls used are either glass or sterling silver.

Finally! Valdani Threads Have Arrived

My order of Valdani Threads finally arrived!! As you will notice, I ordered lots of greens. As this was my first order from this company, I ordered samples from all the different categories they offer. I have used some of their threads before so I knew the quality of the product. Of particular importance: the colours are hand dyed and guaranteed colour fast. Visit their site to see all the luscious colours and threads as you won't be disappointed.
