Elaine Quehl and Patchwork Sitges 2018

Today's post is actually from a Face Book post written by Elaine Quehl, Canadian quilt artist, teacher, dyer and designer. Elaine was recently in Spain, attending the Sitges Patchwork Festival, where she taught a couple of classes and had a collection of her work on display.

Elaine wrote: Patchwork Sitges 2018 photos are up on a Flickr site. You can see images of the entire Festival here. My work is on page 5 and 8, and my workshops are on page 7 and 8.

You can view over  900 photos HERE.

Elaine has also posted photos of the installation of her work at the festival, and much more so please visit her blog. I took a class from Elaine a few years ago in St. John's, NL. It was a very enjoyable class to take. If you get a chance to take a class from Elaine and to see her work in person, do so!

I hope you enjoy all 910 of the photos.

Bits & Pieces

Today's post contains a few bits and pieces.

First thing, I would like to congratulate all the winners at Quilt Canada, especially Elaine Quehl for winning Teacher of the Year! I had the opportunity to take a class from Elaine, here in St. John's, a few years ago. She had a trunk show showing some of her amazing art quilts. Please click the link above to visit her web site.

Also check the Trend-Tex Quilters Challenge 2015, Quilt Canada, Blowing in the Wind. Such a variety of wall quilts!

Now for a few little sewing projects that caught my eye!

Enjoy!!

A Bit of Eveything

Well, my bags are packed for my trip to Halifax this afternoon. I'm looking forward to my first time visit to the Atlantic Canada Trade Show (ACTS). Yesterday was a flurry of work getting last minute things done
  • Wholesale Product Catalog was printed
  • Product Sample Binder was finished
  • Purchased a new carry-on bag
  • Wall signs for each product is done
  • All electronics are charged

In between work, I did manage to check out a few more blogs on the Grow Your Blog Hop. To my surprise, my blog has grown too. Thanks for visiting and signing on to get updates! It's much appreciated. I've also gotten quite a number of comments. You can see those in the various posts below.

Elaine Quehl has finished four small quilts which are called Encore. They look great!

I also found this neat finger pincushion from Nunn Design. I think the colours caught my eye - so bright and cheerful!

Don't forget to check out Sew We Quilt for the the hop, She Who Sews with Quilting Treasures.

Check out the weekly post from the Needle and Thread Network (all Canadian Textile Artists. I added my blog this week.
