Miniatures

Have you ever made any miniature quilted pieces?  Back in the late 90's, our guild had a challenge to create a very small quilted piece. I made two.

This one is 4 1/4" x  5 3/4" and was hand stitched.
The heart block mini is 3 1/2" square. Each block is less than an inch and consist of 9 pieces. I would never attempt doing that today - I think I have more sense (Grin)!!

Enjoy!!

  1. I have never made miniature pieces but they are,on my list of things to do. At 63 years of age, and needing two pairs of glasses plus a magnifier to cross stitch, think it should move higher up on the list! Lol. Love your two pieces! Can't imagine how you did the nine blocks! I have to try that!! Thanks for sharing!

  3. I've always been fascinated with miniatures but certainly don't have the patience to ever try making teeny little quilts. (btw - the third link to the ones on pinterest doesn't work)
