- Christmas with Possibilities from C & T Publishing - this one caught my eye as the 16 quilted holiday projects were so brightly coloured and not complicated. I can see possibilities for alternating some of the patterns. I may do the Christmas Tree Advent Calendar.
- Redwork: Winter Twitterings from House of White Birches - the patterns are nice ones to do
- Cloth Doll Workshop from Crafts at Quarry Books - I have several books on cloth doll making. You never know, it just might be a future project especially now that I have a granddaughter of my own!!
- Tilda's Summer Ideas from D & C Publishing - I like the simplicity of the Tilda patterns. I have one of these already.
These four books cost less than one at regular price. We don't have a Joanne's at home and Michael's Crafts will not give discounts on books, which is a bummer. Sometimes they do have a few good books.
Hi Judy! Sounds like you are having a lovely vacation! Lots of shopping for sure! And alot of my fave spots tho I haven't been shopping in the states for years. The books you bought are wonderful. I love it when you look up a book in Amazon and they give you a sneak preview. All the books you bought are subjects that have interested me. Too much stuff to try and too little time!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind if i pester you while you are on the road. I think it was your may 28th post about the felted piece that you did and then cut up into little squares and taped them onto cards. I did a felted piece with sheep and have to find a way to display it "artistically" for a fair. I tried ironing steam a seam and other products onto the back and nothing sticks, which doesn't surprise me as the wool is so fuzzy... I thought of two sided carpet tape, the wide stuff and wondered what it was that you used to attach your little squares onto the cardstock?

Thanks for the comments. I'm in the London, ON area at the moment. I use two sided sticky tape that frame shops use. I frame my own art work & that tape is used to put the paper on the back. The tape is great for the art cards. It can be purchased at any art supply store.
